The director handles the romantic track very maturely and lets it progress organically rather than relying on cheap thrills. This helps sell the sincerity of Satya and Kiara's bond. Kiara Advani's performance is indeed standout. Her nuanced portrayal of a woman healing from trauma through love is very moving. Kartik Aaryan also does well in bringing innocence and compassion to his character. His chemistry with Kiara anchors the film. Some of the comedy and songs could have been trimmed to tighten the narrative. The abrupt climax was dissatisfying considering the sensitive topic. A courtroom sequence exploring the issue in more depth could have provided a more fulfilling resolution. Overall, while not perfect, the film deserves credit for sensitively dealing with an important social issue through its focus on the relationship. The mature romance between the leads makes for a thoughtful, heartwarming watch despite flaws. Kiara and Kartik elevated the film with their performances. With a tighter screenplay, it could have been truly impactful. But it still represents a step forward for mainstream Indian cinema.

the same pathetic kitsch as many times before, just in a different package:-)
