I have been a fan of AnnaSophia Robb

I have been a fan of AnnaSophia Robb for many years, marveling at her acting talent ever since she was a girl, and now that she is a grown woman, I've wanted to see more of her career from the beginning. This movie is one of the earliest and I can see now why she's had such a great career. Based on the American Girl Collection novels, AnnaSophia Robb plays Samantha Parkington, a sweet, young girl that is the picture of affluence in the early 1900s as she lives happily in her well-to-do life but ends up seeking adventures from walks outside her home and becoming friends with her servants. To get to know her uncle's fiancé and the life that they live in the city while getting to know some of the hardships that she has never seen from growing up privileged. This was a beautiful movie, a period piece that shows the enlightenment of life at the beginning of the 20th century through the eyes of a child. Truly a gem of a movie with phenomenal acting from its young lead. There is no question that AnnaSophia Robb was a born actress and a great one at that. She and the rest of the cast worked a marvel here.
