Stumbling upon director Sara Seligman's 2023 drama thriller "Safe Word" by random chance here in 2026, and never having heard about it, of course I had to check it out. After all, I do believe in giving all movies a fair chance.I have to admit, though, that given the movie's cover, then I wasn't really expecting a whole lot.The storyline in the movie, as written by Sara Seligman and Dana Verde, wasn't overly entertaining. Sure, it was a watchable enough movie for what it was, but this was by no means an outstanding thriller. But then again, I was struggling a bit with the themes of the movie. So there was nothing much of any entertainment to be found for me here in this movie.The acting performances in "Safe Word" were fair, and I do believe that I was actually not familiar with a single actress or actor. And that was actually something that spoke in overall favor of the movie, as I do enjoy watching new and unfamiliar talents on the screen.Definitely not a movie that catered to my preference in entertainment. And most certainly not a movie that I will ever watch a second time.My rating of director Sara Seligman's 2023 movie "Safe Word" lands on a three out of ten stars.
