Plot summary
Summer camp meets Spinal Tap as we journey to Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp, where dreamers from across America and around the world gather to shred with their heroes - and learn to rock like the legends. Rock Camp is an institution and cultural phenomenon that has been going on in Los Angeles, New York and other cities since 1996. The brainchild of music producer David Fishof, Rock Camp boasts a jaw-dropping array of rock star "counselors" that include Roger Daltrey, Alice Cooper, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, Nancy Wilson, Joe Perry, Jeff Beck, Slash and countless other rock legends. The counselors teach, inspire and jam with the campers over the course of four days. Each Rock Camp concludes with all of the counselors and their respective campers, performing together.

@Mrfoofoo I can say this with absolute authority as I have had family involved with Rock Camp LA, Rock Camp for Girls LA, PDX & Seattle for many, many years until 2017. - Unless something has changed, these musicians are all there as volunteer's. Where they do make their money is off of the PR work their label puts in as well as this being a chance for them to network with other musicians that they wouldn't have the time or ability to access to otherwise. But all of that happens outside of the camp.
I cant help but wonder how motivated these "counsellors" are to just collect a paycheck rather than actually inspire...

@Mrfoofoo I concur with @coxetc, although my experience has been as an attendee rather than an organizer. Musicians get into music because they love music, not because they think they're going to get rich. Besides the Rock Camp experience, I've been to a ton of music festivals and found the performers to be incredibly generous with their time. Many of these guys may not be household names but most people have heard them on the radio and they'll just drop in and join an informal attendee jam. I had a former member of Genesis (well, they're all former members now ;-)) give me a personal 45-minute tutorial in the hotel bar. I didn't have to ask. He didn't ask for money. Some of us were messing around, he recognized what we were trying to play, sat down next to me and said "Hey, let me show you something".
