Scat (Bing Crosby) and Hot Lips (Bob Hope) are struggling musicians and singers. They decide to stow away on a boat to Brazil and end up meeting Lucia (Dorothy Lamour). She and Scat fall in love....but Lucia begins doing some odd things as a result of being hypnotized by some evil folks. She turns the two in to the Captain....telling him that Scat and Hop Lips are stowaways! Eventually, however, she manages to patch things up and they accompany her when she leaves the boat. But some baddies are following them and keep making attempts on their lives. What gives?! Why are they using mind control on Lucia and why do they want her two new friends dead?!

I would place this Hope-Crosby Road film among the lower echelon of their movies. It's not as enjoyable as their earlier movies and, at times, the film seems a tad tedious. It is, however, still entertaining if not especially inspired or exciting to watch.

Also, sadly, I am trained in hypnotism and, it simply cannot be used for mind control....what a shame!
