Doug Liman should be ashamed. Yep I said it, Doug Liman should be ashamed to have churned out this next generation drivel. To have such potential with Jake as the lead to a movie concept already made, Douglas Liman I'm guessing blew most of his budget on paying Jake and Joaquim to be the great actors they are, but then paying I'm guessing an absolute stupid amount for a moronic arrogant gypsy moron to play a moronic arrogant gypsy moron, only brought the movie down even further, Doug has brought great movies to the screen but this can only be described a bargain bin disgraceful piece of movie making. If he had done a scene by scene remake it might have been a plausible contribution with the chosen cast, but to take a great movie idea and not even follow the 3 simple rules is beyond belief. The snowflake generation have really impacted the movie industry forcing great directors into shovelling out dire drivel. No I'm not forgetting Post Malone I'm hoping he payed to be in the movie to cover the gypsies poor attempt at acting.

@Tharr: It's not bad, it's just tra$hy and it's intentionally made that way by a skilful team of filmmakers with a talented cast. The fact that you cannot enjoy it and see its value is only your fault and nobody else's. Other people clearly don't have that problem as could be evidently seen from its warm reception by both the critics and the general audience.

@alzebub The fact that you know it is a bad movie but you still enjoyed it, makes me really happy as thats the way it should work. A movie being bad doesnt mean you MUST hate it by default. People must be able to understand if a movie is good or bad. After that, if they love it or hate it, thats for them to choose. I'll repeat, as long as they understand (and accept) that a movie is good/bad based on story, script, acting, production value, action scenes, cgi blending, sountrack etc. So thank you for being the way you are.

@Tharr, I don't disagree with your comment - except can I just say, the mad irishman with the beard - he was the highlight of the film for me, I thought he did a pretty good job of playing the "mindless thug"

It wont let me use bad words, so i'll try again. But make no mistake, it is a _____ movie. 3/10 only for the music and sone landscapes. And Im not comparing it to the Swayze one, its just a "bad" movie. Not even a "shut off your brain" kind of a movie. Skipping frames so that the action scenes seem faster, usage of wrong lens and weird angles for trying (and failing) to feel like a 1st person pov and so on and so on. Speaking of, incredible "bad" acting from the guy with a beard that appears in the second half on the movie. And even with Jack Gyllenhaal in it, this movie can't be saved. Don't forget to replace "bad" with "s__tty".

A solid 8/10. Sequences are intense and well-executed, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats, making it an engaging watch from start to finish. Overall, It delivers a thrilling and action-packed experience that is sure to entertain fans of the genre.

Not a great movie but it's watchable. I give it a 6-7/10. The one liners needs work. The action scene's are on the realistic side of spectrum meaning the action scenes are grounded but it works well with this movie.

This Road House doesn't have a personality it's just a seedy tourist joint. Recommended for a lazy sunday. A solid 4/10.

As usual people are overreacting it's not the worst thing in the world, it's just ok. Don't over think it, don't try to compare it to the Swayze version, just sit back and escape for a bit. Right now all the comments are people just "dog-piling" to complain about something new.

comppletely different movie. only the basic premis is the same as Swayze version. great fight scenes. well written and filmed. a total hoot. reading through the "critiiques" reminds one that there are people on the planet that may take things a bit too seriously.

I was hopeful for this movie but the acting and the dialog were almost unbearable. Way too many F bombs for me. Overall; Disappointing.
