Meh...

Needless to say that I was not familiar with this 2025 thriller titled "Rhythm & Blood" prior to stumbling upon it by random chance here in 2026. And since I hadn't already seen it, of course I opted to check it out and give it a fair chance.The storyline in "Rhythm & Blood", as written by Yvette Wren, while it was watchable, then it was rather generic and formulaic. And I have to admit that the whole rhythm and blues music genre this movie was centered upon, just isn't my cup of tea. For a thriller, then I have to say that the narrative was not particularly thrilling or exciting.There was a single familiar face on the cast list for me, and that was leading actress Tyler Abron. The acting performances in "Rhythm & Blood" were fair.I am sure that there is an audience out there for a movie such as this. I just happened not to be in that particular target audience. And this is most definitely not a movie that will find its way back to my screen a second time.My rating of director Jaira Thomas's 2025 thriller "Rhythm & Blood" lands on a generous four out of ten stars.
