Plot summary

Country songwriter Luke Dick spent his toddler years living in the Red Dog, the rowdiest and most popular strip club in Oklahoma City. Now 30 years later, Luke has a toddler and a newborn of his own. Four and half stars; rounding up for originality

Four and half stars; rounding up for originality. Excellent story telling, use of animation, and an example of how lives evolve.

I must admit, I had never heard of the Red Dog and have never stepped foot in Oklahoma, but this documentary popped up on Hulu and looked interesting. Luke and his Mom, Kim, let viewers sit in the front seat of their beat up truck and take you on a heartwarming, sad, yet funny road trip through their lives. Kim is the tough, honest star of the story, and she tries so hard to hide her heart, which may be bruised and scarred, but holds tremendous love for the friends that became her family.
