I saw this on mystery science theatre, it was hilariously bad. I had so much fun making fun of it that I actually liked this movie. It's sounds weird, but check it out for yourself.

The best way to see this is on MST3K, even it's it not the full serial. Even the remaining chapters are about as dull as the rest of the series though. Rocketeers are cool, but this serial is just cheap, slow, and silly. The cliffhangers get old fast, and there are so many pointless scenes.

Enjoyable serial involves a planned invasion of the Earth by moon men using a ray powered by "Lunarium". The only man that can stop them is Commando Cody and his flying suit. Retik the lunar ruler has a hard time finding good help in his conquest plans, though one of his henchmen include Clayton Moore. Also not sure why they are called "radar" men since radar is never even mentioned anywhere in the 12 episodes. I also thought George Wallace was pretty weak as the main character, Commando Cody. Somebody at Republic also must have thought so because he was replaced when they did the next one. But I found this to be an enjoyable, low-rent guilty pleasure loaded with hand to hand fights, shoot outs, cliffhangers and odd ideas about the moon.
