This movie is just a Jewish wet dream

This movie is just a Jewish wet dream. No surprise it has a 100% critic rating. But as a movie, the plot and resolution is just flat out weird.

It's a cheap Italian knock-off of The dirty dozen, that deals in soo many absurdities that's it's hard to take seriously. But it's packed with an awesome genre cast, that is clearly having fun with one another. So much fun in fact, that it's infectious.

Inglourious Basters is a film IS INGLORIOUSLY OVERRATED

Inglourious Basters is a film IS INGLORIOUSLY OVERRATED and i’m not just trying to be different, hear me out. It has phenomenal performances, especially from Christoph Waltz, but it leans FAR too heavily on drawn-out dialogue and slow pacing to create tension. The movie drags through long scenes that often feel more like SHOWCASES FOR ACTING than actual storytelling. The use of multiple languages was questionable, if a film is targeting a mainstream American audience, and it leans hard into long subtitled scenes, it needs to have a real purpose, like add weight or create tension in some way, which a lot of times it didn’t. AND if realism was completely the goal , why is 60% of the movie still in English? . For a movie that builds so much, the payoff, especially the handling of Hitler’s death was underwhelming. Tarantino’s style is all over this, but substance and narrative urgency take a back seat. And just a side note I am a big fan of Tarantino, and this same concept was used in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood but executed way better, making it a respectable film. Score: 36/100 – Beautifully acted, poorly paced, and ultimately underwhelming.
