So frustratingly realistic about caught in a web

So frustratingly realistic about caught in a web, self image from childhood abuse with a mother that only could blame instead of nurture and support. I'm talking about Debra's mother. Mona was so believable with her wanting the ideal family, her rages when it didn't happen, and then the climactic decision to leave Sarge was so mature of her. She realized her Mother was debased and abused more by her own husband than the clients/tricks Debra serviced. When Sarge said to Debra, in front of Mona, I (he) spoke to Gus, he'll take you back, Mona finally saw through him. Excellent.

Spoiled child in control leads to predictable result.

Enjoyable to watch Tina Jung. Too bad her character spoiled her brat of a daughter who probably needed just a good talking to or a solid whack on her little behind. But then there wouldn't be a movie or calm morning queen. Will Smith's "The Pursuit of Happyness" presents a superior version of a single parent's struggles and far better parenting skills.
