It is not a horror movie. It is a drama with bad directing and a waste of time.

I usually enjoy atmospheric horrors that emphasize tension and dread over jump scares and gore, so I was looking forward to Presence. Personally, it was a big disappointment. With the exception of the daughter, the whole family was either exasperating or downright unlikeable. The family dynamics were just as frustrating; the personalities and interactions somehow managed to be toxic and uninteresting simultaneously. I want to say the family was unrealistic, but I imagine some families are actually like this — which is terribly depressing. But, realistic or not, I detested them so much that I couldn't be bothered to care about them. And as for the spirit, its backstory was so thin and late in the telling that I literally shrugged at the end. I won't say not to watch this film, because some people will undoubtedly like it, but I just can't give it a good rating. 1/10

Possibly the best horror flick from this decade. Period.

Most boring movie of the century. Don't waste your time. Nothing happened with a ridiculous ending. A ghost that can't walk through wall but uses the stairs?? Just eavesdropping on a family. That's it.

It's a drama. Has nothing to do with the horror genre. With that said, if you can get past the camera angles and movements, its a good little flick. Just don't go in expecting a thriller or a horror movie, and you won't be disappointed.

finally got around to watching, for the guys that can make it through how it is shot, the ending was dynamite. I give it a good 7 outta 10.

I gave it a shot and could not make it past 10 minutes. The wide angle movie shots did not work for me. I think this is more of a drama, cultured type movie with a hint of horror. This combination did not do it for me. A solid 1/10. I think some will like it, but not if you are a true horror fan.
