Plot summary

Interesting premise, but it's sooooo artsy fartsy and pretentious. Barely watchable, yet it's uniqueness kept me watching and hoping something intelligible would happen. It didn't.

Postcards from London is a creative and visually striking film that falls between engaging and overwhelming. It is not bad and it is worth watching once, but it never becomes something that invites a revisit. The story focuses on people obsessed with reenacting historical fantasies for others, blurring art, identity, and transactional intimacy. It plays like a form of male escorting without ever naming itself, creating an intentionally uneasy tone. Harris Dickinson delivers a committed performance, bringing sincerity and emotional weight to the role, even if his frequent casting in sexually ambiguous stories feels repetitive. The screenplay is the biggest obstacle. It is extremely wordy and often confusing, relying on dense dialogue and constant back and forth that demands full attention. Rather than flowing naturally, the film feels like something you must study to understand. Worth seeing.Once
