Plot summary

A successful sculptor's life is turned upside down when he starts to receive mysterious messages from someone asking for his help. As he digs deeper, he discovers a boy is being abused and has to choose between saving the boy or losing everything.

Production values are surprisingly good considering it's an obscure Indonesian film, but the plot doesn't live up to expectations - it goes off the rails in terms of coherency which is later explained with a twist that really has been overused by now.

Was not a fan of this movie. I

Was not a fan of this movie. I only made it 1/2 way through before turning it off (that's a very occurrence for me). It's not that the movie is horrible, it just wasn't interesting or entertaining. It's not a traditional horror per say... it's more akin to a dark thriller/drama. Don't watch this is you're looking for scares. FYI if you do want to see it there's a decent copy on YouTube that has English subs, and it's broken up into 2 parts... just search The Forbidden Door.
