**Pink Hill** is an odd film. I have seen it a few times now...it gets better each time...It is not a conventional movie, that is what I liked about it. The acting is strange but perfect for the story, or maybe better to say, for the atmosphere, which is slow and heavy, like a long, hot summer night. I liked how I felt I was in the story rather than just following a typical plot...and the ending left me feeling nostalgic. The images and mood of the film stuck with me for a few days. I recommend it. I also like the music...and it was funny too!...a CULT FILM in the making.

I really liked the movie PINK HILL. It is not a "normal" movie, but if you want something meditative and different, this one is for you. Odd at times and captivating. The images are beautiful, but don't expect a conventional film. I recommend it...also loved the music!

Fascinating but strange film!

I've just finished watching 'Pink Hill' and I'm not sure why I enjoyed it so much, perhaps a second viewing will help! It's a very strange, arty type film that's certainly not conventional. The acting of the four cast members feels stilted, odd and theatrical, almost like I was watching it in a theatre, this was the debut film for all of them, but even with the line delivery it's quite beautiful. Michele Lipman, who plays Azalea, is also very alluring in an unusual way.The film flirts with several genres, drama, romance, fantasy and horror, but it all feels very dreamlike and detached from reality. Much of that must be down to Director Robert Flanagan but having not seen any of his other films I'm not sure if the style was a conscious decision, I'll have to view more.'Pink Hill', however, is a fascinating film but I'm going to have to mull over it more before I decide why!
