Plot summary

Women make up less than a quarter of STEM professionals in the United States, and numbers are even lower for women of color. But there is a growing group of researchers who are writing a new chapter for women scientists, exposing longstanding discrimination, and leading the way in making science more inclusive.

Um documentário super dolorido de assistir, claro que

Um documentário super dolorido de assistir, claro que sei os desafios que as mulheres enfrentam em um mundo dominado por homens e extremamente sexistas, entretanto nem de longe eu poderia imaginar o tanto de humilhações, maldades todo horror que elas sofreram dentro da ciência e que muitas ainda sofrem em outras áreas... Um Documentário denúncia necessário, e um pouco de justiça pelas mulheres que sofreram, nojo desse David Marchant, sofreu um pena minina, mas muito representativa, demissão e perda da homenagem no Marchant Glacier renomeado de Matataua Glacier que significa "uma escoteira antes das tropas"...

Really great story of women using science to create the MIT report proving that they were under utilized and compensated, and also research showing that the sort of views that cause that sort of bias are fairly mentally rigid to change. I'm not sure if i misunderstood the take away from most of the rest of the doc, or if it was actually just sort of pessimistic without showing the clear paths forward. At the end of the day woman, man or whatever category you put yourself in there are only so many resources to go around, if you want to accomplish more at times you will need to fight for the opportunity as these women did.

A Documentary denouncement necessary...

In this documentary, women scientists discuss the inequalities they faced while creating a formula to make science accessible to everyone.

A super painful documentary to watch, of course I know the challenges that women face in a world dominated by men and extremely sexist, however I could not even imagine how much humiliation, evil, all the horror they suffered within science and that many still suffer in other areas... A Documentary denouncement necessary, and a little justice for the women who suffered, disgusted that David Marchant, suffered a minima penalty, but very representative, resignation and loss of homage in the Marchant Glacier renamed Matataua Glacier that means "a girl scout before the troops"...
