Plot summary

Peter Rabbit runs away from his human family when he learns they are going to portray him in a bad light in their book. Soon, he crosses paths with an older rabbit who ropes him into a heist.

Tom" (Domhnall Gleeson) and "Bea" (Rose Byrne) are

"Tom" (Domhnall Gleeson) and "Bea" (Rose Byrne) are now happily married and with "Peter" et al are now all co-existing merrily in the garden with no gate. "Bea" has written a book about their adventures but "Peter" is a bit fed up always being seen as the bad influence so when the folks go off for a trip, he absconds to the local town where he alights on a gang who appreciate his unique brand of naughtiness. When they return and spot he's missing, the family are soon on his fluffy tail risking life and limb to recover him from his new sticky-fingered mates. The animation here is actually quite good with plenty of fun action, some daft frolics and a decent chemistry between the humans as they have to deal with the missing "Peter" and publisher "Nigel" (David Oyelowo) who would paint a rather different picture of their rustic idyll to make more cash. It's quickly paced and though maybe just a little too politically correct and earnest at times, is still quite an enjoyable family movie with some engaging characters that you'll forget quickly so be able to watch again.

I hope 'Peter Rabbit 2' is successful; the fact it was one of those first three films pulled due to the pandemic and is now being released offers a small sense of normalcy for the film industry. If you liked the first film, you'll get a chuckle out of this one. Cute and charming characters return for another adventure with less humor

3 out of 5 stars.Peter Rabbit 2 is a fair family film. Bringing back characters that we loved from the first film. Putting Peter in another adventure and theme about family. The sequel does lack humor compared to the first film. And less interesting human story than the first.The sequel story follows the two main characters getting married. And Peter suspecting that once married and having kids of there own. Him and the rabbits are forgotten. McGregor and Peter still clash at times. Peter feeling like an outsider as he is always in trouble. Or caught in a bad moment. He runs away and falls into an old family friend rabbit who knew his father. And has a gang that robs food from peoples houses. And they plot a heist in a farmers market. While his human friends and rabbits make on a journey to rescue Peter.Story was okay. A bit forgettable. The first focused on Peter and McGregor clashing for Rose Byrnes character and had a lot of entertaining moments. The sequel is missing a lot of the humor and memerable moments. It does have some sense of fun and cute characters that brings there fun energy on the screen that kids will enjoy. Adults may find this forgettable.
