Plot summary

This movie revolves around two American jazz musicians

This movie revolves around two American jazz musicians in Paris and two American tourists. For Ram Bowen played by Paul Newman, there is a tension between his love for music and the love he develops for Lillian, one of the tourists who is played by Joanne Woodward. For Eddie Cook, his exile in France is challenged by his love for Connie played by Diahann Carroll. Connie is strongly tied to home in America, by Eddie remembers the hostilities born of racism and doesn't want to return to that. For Ram and Eddie, the question is will they stay or will they go? If you enjoy jazz music, you'll enjoy the music that accompanies the story. By the way, some of the jazz comes from the horn of Louis Armstrong who is in Paris to headline some shows.

Like a good short story, compact and easy

Like a good short story, compact and easy to take in. The lead actors are appealing, the jazz adds real pleasure, and the print looked good. It’s enjoyable to spend time in that vision of 1960s Paris. A modest film, but a satisfying one.

I love Paris. I love jazz and blues

I love Paris. I love jazz and blues, and I LOVE PAUL NEWMAN. Great to see these 4 amazing actors when they were young... not much of a story, but a must see nonetheless.
