Plot summary

Florence and Vincent Leroy are a model couple. They have great jobs, a perfect marriage and delightful children. And now they want their divorce to be an equal success. But when they are both simultaneously promoted to their dream jobs, their relationship becomes a nightmare. From that moment on, the gloves are off, the two exes declare war and will do everything in their power to NOT have custody of their children.

Un film squallido, con accenti forzati. L'intento era

Un film squallido, con accenti forzati. L'intento era far ridere? Poichè non ci riesce neanche sforzandosi. Mi chiedo come la Coltellesi e Albanese abbiano potuto partecipare a questa pellicola. E mi chiedo come altre commedie italiane abbiano praticamente lo stesso voto, quando sono estremamente migliori. Questo film ha 3 bambini insopportabili e i due genitori sono peggiori. Cercano per tutto il film di perdere l'affidamento, traumatizzando in modo indelebile i ragazzini. E non solo, visto che c'è pure la violenza gratuita sugli animali. Per poi finire in modo inspiegabilmente buonista, senza logica e ripensamenti. C'è così tanto di sbagliato che ci vorrebbe uno psicanalista per gli sceneggiatori.

Papa ou Maman is a decent piece of French cinema that has you laughing a lot at the antics of two unconventional people struggling with the notion of normality creeping into their married-with-3-children lives, in the only way they know how - by doing the unthinkable of amicably divorcing, while also trying (and failing) to fob the kids off onto each other. Watch, Learn & Laugh!!

Between 3.5 and 3 stars. The initial situation leaves freedom to the parents to be all the punky they want and treat in a very bad way to their children. Although not the funniest movie on the world, in the wildest moments of the movie you feel a guilty pleasure.
