A comprehensive and entertaining documentary about one of the most unique and interesting record companies of all time. Remaining stylistically in sync with its subject, director Jeff Broadway's film is visually creative and eccentric with an energy that bubbles over. It may not be one of the most emotionally moving documentaries you've seen, but it definitely is made with a lot of passion and love for its subject. Broadway always is paying respect to Stones Throw and making a film that the company would be proud of.

Some great moments (especially the segment on Charizma) but ultimately a little too hip for its own good. Not necessarily making that argument about the label--not necessarily.
