So many things to like about this film

So many things to like about this film. First, the restoration work done on the archival footage is exceptional. Second, for those of us longtime fans of the Tora-San series, it's a joy to be back in that world. And the updated world of Mitsuo and Izumi is touching and heartfelt. I thoroughly enjoyed what director Yamada Yoji has accomplished here. He has given us fans a great gift.

This is a return to Japan's longest running

This is a return to Japan's longest running film series. For those who are unfamiliar with the movies, Tora-San is a light and frothy slice of life that delivers. This film can stand on its own and can be a good introduction to the series. Great watch for the family.
