Plot summary

Patsy McCartle is a widow with two sons trying to gather all the money she has to pay for her car, bills, and her son's medication, all of which she can barely afford. She turns to dealing drugs and becomes addicted to crystal meth.

Dianne Keaton was abysmal in this role.. why

Dianne Keaton was abysmal in this role.. why the director didn’t recast her after the first scene is beyond me. She screams like a lunatic the entire movie. Horrible film.

This might be the dumbest movie I've ever

This might be the dumbest movie I've ever seen. Completely unbelievable premise. They do not turn off your heat in the winter in the state of illinois. If your husband gets killed working on a utility line you get compensated. She could have sued for a million dollars if she had a good lawyer. And a meth dealer does not insist that you sample the product. Her son's asthma would have been covered by medicare. When her diner closed down she would have gotten unemployment. The writing is abysmal and casting Diane Keaton in this part made no sense.
