Plot summary

Sixteen-year-old Brianna Jackson is a gifted rapper who plans to take the battle rap scene by storm to lift up her family and do right by the legacy of her father, a local hip-hop legend whose career was cut short by gang violence. However, when her first hit song goes viral for all the wrong reasons, she finds herself torn between the authenticity that got her this far and the false persona that the industry wants to impose on her.

This movie completely surprised me. The story line

This movie completely surprised me. The story line is a well worn one, but the way it was presented and the way it was done was just fantastic. All of the characters were believable, well thought out. The move moved at a great pace and just got better and better. The ensemble was just great !! What a fantastic way to describe the life of a group of people within the culture of Rap. This is one of the best movies I have seen from the perspective of how a great movie is made. Everyone can take something from this one. Fantastic job !! Well done to EVERYONE !!

The movie was better than expected. Great story

The movie was better than expected. Great story and all actors did a great job. Lyrics were great.
