1986: Five college buddies take off for summer

1986: Five college buddies take off for summer jobs, but have less-than-desirable success. They decide to go in together to start a moving company, but they incur the wrath of the local moving company, who may be also doing some illegal activities. This is a watchable movie, but the up-and-coming cast (most bound for bigger successes) does try hard. There are stretches, though, where the goings-on are loud and rather obnoxious. Not sure which voice is more annoying: Byron (Paul Provenza) pretending to be African-American in front of Dwight and family, or Spud (pre-MacGyver RIchard Dean Anderson) sounding like a Robot Yuppie. At least it's short. Stars: Paul Reiser, Robert Townsend, Scott McGinnis, Paul Provenza, and Rick Overton.

I've always thought this was an underrated classic

I've always thought this was an underrated classic 80s ridiculous comedy. The plot is weak, meandering, that's for sure... And there's a "Scooby-Doo-like" Chase sequence that goes on for FAR too long... But this is one of those movies that is great to watch with a friend and have a few brews with. It's a film that definitely realizes how silly it is being. One of the crown jewels of this whole production is the trucker, Wylie (played by Leo Burmester.) The level of over-the-top cheese delivered by this character is absolutely superb. At one point in the film, The main group of protagonists have their building destroyed, and Wylie comments, "You get a good deal on this place?! Must be a b**** to heat in the winter!" It's no masterpiece, but definitely worth watching if you enjoy a certain type of awkward.

An otherwise amusing movie. The final scene turned

An otherwise amusing movie. The final scene turned me off. In that final scene, The main characters run over the mayor's dog, and continue driving, like it is nothing. THAT IS UNCALLED FOR!!!
