Plot summary

Vishal Bharadwaj has clearly lost all his marbles and this movie should have been titled OMG instead and I don't mean that in a positive way!

What a waste of time, money and energy

What a waste of time, money and energy. A nonsense story, ridiculous writing and even great Nana Patekar is completely wasted. Shahid is brilliant as actor, he is the only good thing about it, but the movie is garbage. Tripti is forced to do same thing again and again. She is wasted too. Vishal used to write excellent screenplay and dialogues. I many times remember opening scene of Omkara as one of the finest scene written in Bollywood. What happened to him? I think the radical librandoo and jihadist supporting ideology made him blind and he lost his sanity.

There is alot to like in this film

There is alot to like in this film, script, actors and acting, cinematography with the unique fantasy world of 90's India with an Indian protagonist dressed in 70's Americana inspired jeans and cowboy hat. Heavily inspired by Rodrigueze's Desparado from the ridiculous action to the music and atmosphere. Everything seems promising until the villain enters the screen. From there it goes from being a melodramatic desperado western inspired bollywood film, to a fully fledged Japanese Anime action immitator with ridiculously bad dialogue delivery (by Avinash Tiwari) and visually comical villain. If you like Shahid Kapoor, Vishal Bharadwaj or the amazing music with lyrics pencilled by the legendary Gulzar you will only be dissapointed by previous high standards set by all of the amazing artists. I loved it because I am an old bollywood romantic and this film tells the story of an unselfish love, in a glamorised, violent, fairytale world that feels inspired by the Japanese Anime universe.
