Plot summary
The US detonated 67 nuclear weapons over the Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands during the Cold War, the consequences of which still reverberate down four generations to today. "NUKED," is a timely new feature documentary focussing on the human victims of the nuclear arms race, tracing the displaced Bikinian's ongoing struggle for justice and survival even as climate change poses a new existential threat. Using carefully restored archival footage to resurrect contemporaneous islanders’ voices and juxtaposing these with the full, awesome fury of the nuclear detonations, NUKED starkly contrasts the official record with the lived experience of the Bikinians themselves, serving as an important counterpoint to this summer’s Oppenheimer.

This download is tied to the wrong film \ documentary. This is about making \ having babies! But is also called "Nuked" for some reason..
Most experts agree that the areas in the 30 kilometer Chernobyl exclusion zone are terribly contaminated with radioactive isotopes like caesium-137, strontium-90 and iodine-131, and, therefore, are unsafe for human habitation. Yet neither Nagasaki nor Hiroshima suffer these conditions.
@eyesopen0514 you are an !diot. It is like saying the Holocaust never happened. People are dying from the after effects.
The radiation in Hiroshima and Nagasaki today is on a par with the extremely low levels of background radiation (natural radioactivity) present anywhere on Earth. It has no effect on human bodies. Atomic bombs differ from conventional bombs in emitting explosive energy on an entirely different order of magnitude and radiation. Of the emitted energy, 5% was initial radiation and 10% was residual radiation. The initial radiation emitted at the moment of detonation inflicted great damage to human bodies. Most of those exposed to direct radiation within a one-kilometer radius died. Residual radiation was emitted later. Roughly 80% of all residual radiation was emitted within 24 hours. Research has indicated that 24 hours after the bombing the quantity of residual radiation a person would receive at the hypocenter would be 1/1000th of the quantity received immediately following the explosion. A week later, it would be 1/1,000,000th. Thus, residual radiation declined rapidly.
You all seem so sure of yourselves. Explain please how there is no radiation still today? How did people move back into the city or even clean it up? Chernobyl is uninhabitable for thousands of years but not Nagasaki or Hiroshima. It's all a psy-op to say we have the nukes and scare the rest of the world.
@ eyesopen0514, hey are you also a flat earther and a "dinosaurs never existed" type of guy? Get out of your Grandma's basement and read a book or two, if as 6bucks suggested, you actually are literate.
Arguing with a willfully ignorant person will not make them smarter. You'd be better off putting lipstick on a pig.
@eyesopen0514 For someone with your name you sure have your eyes closed. The bombs at Hiroshima and Nagasaki never exploded on the ground, they were air burst. There is plenty of historical evidence about people suffering from fallout. I've been to the Nagasaki Freedom Park and museum. Maybe you should read a history book or better yet fly over and visit the site yourself. If that's too eye opening for you at least read a history book, if in fact you can read.
