Underrated war film indeed. No Man is An

Underrated war film indeed. No Man is An Island is probably one of the most unheard of war films yet which is generally sad because this is probably one of the best war films I've seen in quite some time. In this 1962 film comes the story of George Tweed, inspired by a true story of a solider who was taken care by a family in Guam in the aftermath of Pearl Harbor, his amazing story in the brink of 31 months is quite amazing. The production value may seem a little low, but that's not what drives the film, the great acting and dialogue suck you into a movie and a character more then any other war movie I've seen, its not all action, in fact its more of a personal experience of hard times for the people of Guam, you feel like your the character of George Tweed in the best way possible and somewhat feel emotionally involved in everything around it, the movie is quite humorous at times yet can be really heartbreaking to watch. As much for flaws, its very shady in production value, and the direction is somewhat sloppy kind of, especially with two directors. I do recommend people to see it, this movie definitely deserves a remake as well, and if not try to find it, worth watching. 9/10

Geographically inaccurate! It was shot in the Philippines

Geographically inaccurate! It was shot in the Philippines with Filipino actors who spoke Tagalog but it was said that the setting is in Guam. Although, it was a good movie and has truth in it. This movie has shown real sufferings both the Philippines and other countries by the hand of the Japanese during the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

This was set in Guam but filmed in the Philippines. Some actual war footage was used; for a WWII based film with a low budget, it was very well done - the story was a true tear-jerker.
