Plot summary

When police officer Alvin loses both his star witness and his wife to drug kingpin (and ninja assassin) Rudolph, he vows to get revenge. Travelling to Hong Kong, hot on Rudolph's trail, he teams up with local investigators Gordon, Vivian and Jackie. Meanwhile, a young street punk named Edmund is hunting for the man who killed his father. Could they all possibly be searching for the same person? A Hong Kong cut-and-paste edit of the 1984 Taiwanese Film 女太保 (A Rouge Girl) with new ninja scenes.

Corny and campy late 1980s ninja action...

Yeah, as a kid during the 1980s, I did of course enjoy the ninja movies back in the day. Sure, a lot of them were beyond questionable, especially when you sit down to watch them today. But back then the ninjas were the coolest thing ever. And thus, as I had the opportunity here in 2026 to sit down and watch the 1987 movie "Ninja: Silent Assassin", I opted to do so without hesitation.Truth be told, though, I didn't exactly harbor the biggest of expectations to the movie. But it was getting a fair chance and the benefit of the doubt. And the 4.0 rating here on IMDb, as of the very moment I watched the movie, certainly didn't really do much to bolster any grand expectations to the movie.Writers Godfrey Ho and Stephen So put together a pretty straight forward script and storyline, though it was somewhat corny and random at times.Needless to say that I wasn't familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. Not that it was a bad thing, because I do enjoy watching unfamiliar and new talents on the screen. The acting performances were a bit forced and wooden, especially the dialogue.There are some nice enough fight scenes throughout the course of the movie, accompanied by some glorious over-the-top sound effects.My rating of director Godfrey Ho's 1987 movie "Ninja: Silent Assassin" lands on a very generous four out of ten stars.

If you haven't seen yet Ninja: Silent Assassin ; you haven't seen yet the worst movie of the entire world.

This movie is THE WORST MOVIE I've ever seen. And the worst in EVERY field : -worst actor -worst history -worst words (for me in french ..... but I think the original version is not so better that french version) -worst choreographConclusion : It's my favourite movie. Recommandation : You must see it.
