I don’t care what anybody says. First of

I don’t care what anybody says. First of all this is a cop thriller, not a political terrorist drama. Sylvester Stallone gives one of his best performances and Rutger Hauer plays one of the five best movie villains in movie history! Add the super cool Billy Dee Williams and one of the best chase scenes ever and you have a cult classic!

A clear attempt to imitate other gritty cop movies of the era. I think New York is well utilized but its mostly lacking tension or interesting characters.
