Watchable, but features really dumb characters. Why is this mess watchable ? It does have an effective old school horror atmosphere, and Kate Jackson is stunningly attractive.

I really wanted to love Night of Dark

I really wanted to love Night of Dark Shadows, but I was mostly bored. What I did like about this entry in the Dark Shadows franchise: the gothic, foreboding atmosphere, the gorgeous setting, and some strong performances, particularly by David Selby, John Karlen, and Grayson Hall, who steals every scene she is in. What I did not like: the meandering pacing, choppy editing, and the terribly repetitive score. This movie just felt uninspired and underdeveloped in some ways but overlong in other ways.
