Plot summary

Struggling to cope after a move to the city with his mother, Elmer runs away in search of Wild Island and a young dragon who waits to be rescued. Elmer’s adventures introduce him to ferocious beasts, a mysterious island and the friendship of a lifetime.

My Father's Dragon is pure magic. The animation

My Father's Dragon is pure magic. The animation is beautifull, the story is heartfelt, and every character feels full of warmth and charm. It has that rare storybook quality that makes you feel like you're being told a classic tale by a campfire. The relationship at the center of the film is genuinly touching, and the emotional moments hit harder than I expected. A wonderfully sweet adventure that deserves way more attention than it got.

Este foi o segundo trabalho desse estúdio maravilhoso na qual tive o prazer de assistir, mesmo que não aborde um assunto tão profundo quanto os demais filmes, como exemplo "The Wolfwalkers", ainda encanta e diverte na medida certa, lhe prendendo no filme até seu final, e é claro com uma animação impecável.
