Plot summary

With The Cookie Jar, Hannah Swensen has a mouthwatering monopoly on the bakery business of Lake Eden, Minnesota. But when a rival store opens, and one of the owners is found shot to death in the store, Hannah is determined to prove that she wasn't the only one who had an axe to grind with the Quinn sisters. Somebody wasn't fooled by the Georgia Peaches and their sweet-as-pie act--and now it's up to Hannah to track down whoever had the right ingredients to whip up a murder.

This was a great Hannah Swensen Mystery adaptation

This was a great Hannah Swensen Mystery adaptation from the Hallmark Channel (based on the book by Joanne Fluke). The mystery was well plotted with good red herrings. The budding love triangle was actually a positive addition rather than being an annoying trope. Allison Sweeney is really delightful in this role. The part is well cast. She is very easy to like, and she brings a lot to the movie as a whole. I actually wish they would let her star in more than one mystery. Watching this made me want to immediately watch the next Hannah Swensen mystery--which I did. I will continue watching the movies from this franchise as long as Hallmark keeps making them and Sweeney keeps starring in them. It is undoubtedly the strongest cozy mystery franchise they have right now.
