As an Orthodox Christian St Moses the Black

As an Orthodox Christian St Moses the Black is a beloved Saint of the Church. His story of redemption is INCREDIBLE. I was looking forward to this movie from the moment I heard it was being made as I loved Yelena's quality movie about St Nektarios - Man of God (beautifully done). Sadly, I was highly disappointed. There were a lot of things, I assume, were done to save money - repeat scenes of the L train (and too much time spent on it); the party scene in the basement - why? It was pointless. The shooting & violence scenes...I found myself saying "enough already, we get it, these people are not good people". There were side stories that just didn't add to the storyline but left confusion as to why they were in it. Yelena does great work, but this film was a complete miss for me & I feel it misses in making the point of Moses' life change in Malik's parallel. It was too much to squeeze in a movie and might be better as a mini series where characters and situations have time to develop.
