Excellent depiction of native life in Indian Territory

Excellent depiction of native life in Indian Territory after forced removal. Blends several distinct tribes the Chickasaws, Cherokees, Kiowa, Cheyenne, Kiowa with the trespassing European settlers (rustlers) at the beginning of the Civil War to close to the end of the 19th century. Themes include family, redemption, loyalty, and humanity. Told from a First American perspective. Native actors play natives and it is filmed in authentic locales ie Oklahoma with the ending segment in Florida.

It's worth watching. It's a whole lot better

It's worth watching. It's a whole lot better than some overhyped remake of whatever the whatever.

Not wild about how the movie was executed

Not wild about how the movie was executed. No issue with the story, but the writing was lacking. Not a good adaptation. Dermot Mulroney is great in my book. Honorable mention & no reason for him to catch a stray.
