Plot summary

Minecraft: The Story of Mojang is a feature-length documentary that follows the young company over the course of its first year as their profile expanded across the world stage and into the homes of millions of gamers. Featuring insights from industry icons, journalists, tastemakers, and players profoundly impacted by the game, the film serves as a time capsule for one of this generation's most unorthodox success stories.

It's a time capsule to a time I

it's a time capsule to a time I think everyone misses. the C418 soundtrack excels, and this documentary manages to hold up even today. Minecraft means something greater, and this is an insightful study into what that is.

Can't say that everything about this documentary has aged greatly in the following years but The Story of Mojang is still an interesting documentary detailing how Minecraft became a phenomenon and showing how its legacy has endured. I don't play Minecraft, largely due to not being patient enough for survival games, but this documentary offers a nostalgic look at how popular this indie game became back in its heyday.
