Full lenght debut from Sanna Lenken. The plot

Full lenght debut from Sanna Lenken. The plot is a serious matter as it takes you in on a story where a girl is dealing with eating disorders. It looks like a normal Swedish family with two active kids. Katja is a bit older, our lead here, Stella, is eleven or so. She is a bit overweigt, the bigger sister is very thin. They both attend figure skating and the older one has got quite some talent. She practice everyday and she seem very dedicated. When Stella finds out that Katja throws up her food she find herself in a tricky situation. Should she tell on her? It's interesting to see the famous Amy Diamond in her debut here. You know, the child star with the "What's in it for me"-song. Well, she sings better than she acts. Another cool fact is that the Stella character are done by Erland Josephson's granddaughter, and she really impresses in her debut. Anyhow, good film that takes up a very serious topic. It's brave, but still quite safe and undearing. 6.5 out of 10 ice rinks.

Such a sweet movie, and interesting for us

Such a sweet movie, and interesting for us with an eating disorder as it approaches the disorder from another perspective. At the end of the day, it becomes more a movie about sisterhood than a movie about bulimia/anorexia. And that's what makes it worth watching it.

I had heard good things about this movie

I had heard good things about this movie so I ended up being a little disappointed when watching it. I felt that the acting wasn't that convincing and I felt that I didn't really believe in the characters the way that I had hoped. In the end it was okay, but it didn't really stay with me.
