Meet Me in Las Vegas is an awesome

Meet Me in Las Vegas is an awesome movie. It is about a gambling rancher and a ballerina who discover that some people have luck at cards while others have luck at love in 1950s Las Vegas. Dan Dailey and Cyd Charisse give fantastic performances. The screenplay is good but a little slow in places. Roy Rowland did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the humor and romance. Meet Me in Las Vegas is a must see.

If you enter into this expecting a Fellini

If you enter into this expecting a Fellini or Scorsese masterpiece then you'll be severely disappointed and give it a low rating. It is a vehicle for Cyd to showcase her dancing talents with a trite plot and adequate acting thrown in. The Frankie and Johnny sequence with Sammy Davis Jr, singing is alone worth giving it 3 stars.

Overlong MGM musical starts out brightly then segues

Overlong MGM musical starts out brightly then segues into talky sequences and uninspired musical numbers; many cameos and guest appearances, the best of which are Lena Horne's "If You Can Dream" and Frankie Laine's "Hell Hath No Fury."
