Features some good, gimmicky 3D (even the 2D

Features some good, gimmicky 3D (even the 2D rear projection shots work), some snappy dialogue and a nifty finale atop a roller coaster. Just a touch draggy.

It's funny to see that the first studio

It's funny to see that the first studio 3D film generally does a better job at the "enhancement" than current outings. Man in the Dark is a very interesting Film Noir involving science, medicine, paranoia and the standard cops and robbers. While it seems pretty straight forward at first, it is this keep it simple story that allows the film to work so well. Keeping the off beat moments to a minimum and setting up 3D moments that fit with the film, Man in the Dark manages to make 3D enjoyable and a gimmic at the same time.

Very middle of the road gangster drama. Certainly

Very middle of the road gangster drama. Certainly not terrible, with reasonably good actors. The concept was a little different but the whole story felt a little hokey.
