Plot summary

What's my take away? MERYL carried the first

What's my take away? MERYL carried the first movie, no caps!! The dynamos and the dads have not aged beyond a few nights. Lily James is magical. Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper look like life has taken a toll on them badly. Much of the movie did not have its breezy, retro magic or charm, and felt quite dull to the senses. By this time however, I realise that I am completely hooked by the original songs. Meryl's reluctance to return for this sequel feels like the main reason for its shodiness. I didn't want to see as much of the past. It was lovely to see all the other characters again. For a while, I was disappointed to think they wrote off Bill and Harry too. The ending was blissful and had nearly the same quaint and lovely allure as the original.

Wow, I didn’t like it. It doesn’t even

Wow, I didn’t like it. It doesn’t even hold a candle to the first movie, which was phenomenal. How can you go from the masterpiece to this? It just feels like all of the magic got sucked out of this movie. Does not make sense to me. It’s so obvious that they tried to recreate the success that the previous movie had, but they failed miserably in my opinion. Even Cher couldn’t save the movie. I make it sound like it was bad bad but really it was okay… Just uninspiring, performative, unnecessary and "fake". My favorite part of this movie was Meryl singing with Amanda towards the end. I will rewatch the first movie but this one has no replay value at all.
