Plot summary

Bizarre back-to-back murders in an otherwise quiet Arizona desert town has rattled local Police Chief Jordan Sanders. The two dead women have no connection to each other – except they’re both named Maggie Moore. While unravelling a web of small-town lies and mysteries, the investigation gets even more complicated when Sanders begins a romantic relationship with one of the murdered women's neighbor, Rita.

Not horrible... a number of reviewers mentioned Fargo

Not horrible... a number of reviewers mentioned Fargo, and yeah, this is a pale imitation in the same way Jay's store is an inferior imitation of a restaurant. There are some witty moments, but it feels overshadowed by world weariness. Add to that the tacked on romance subplot which also felt threadbare, it just didn't grab me.

Reminded me of Fargo (the original movie)

Reminded me of Fargo (the original movie) - absurd and very watchable. Jon Hamm and Tina Fey are fabulous and supremely human. Nothing heavy, no guffaws either, but thoroughly enjoyable.
