Plot summary

The Gamache, tailors from father to son, have been dressing the Mafia family Paternò for three generation. Vincent "Vince" Gamache works on behalf of Frank the godfather with his eldest son Giaco. Vince, reckless and rash, seeks to earn his stripes by impressing the godfather. Without the Paternò knowing, he stages a big operation and is promoted. Fuming with jealousy, Giaco discovers that Vince committed a monstrous act during his stroke. The Gamache disown Vince and war begins.

This movie is very well done! I loved

This movie is very well done! I loved getting insight into the Canadian version of the Mafia and hearing French, Italian and English all in the same movie. I am a big fan of the Godfather series and this drew some inspiration clearly from the classics but was its own thing. I found the characters very complicated and compelling , showing shades of grey in the world instead of black and white. Five stars hands down !

Just wait this gem of a „low budget“

Just wait this gem of a „low budget“ movie. It was great! The character study was fantastic and the actors too level. It was also good that there were no known actors that played, because it lend an authenticity to the whole movie. Never boring, at times very brutal but nevertheless entertaining and was really fun to watch.
