Macho Man: The Randy Savage Story

When Randy Savage died in 2011 at the age of 58. It was a shock to wrestling fans.He collapsed while driving his vehicle on the road.Randy Savage came from a family of wrestlers. His father and brother were in the business.Young Randy wanted to play baseball and event had a stint in the minor leagues. However he did not make it and followed on his father's footsteps. When he joined the WWE. The full Macho Man came through with the colourful outfits, The entrance to Land of Hope and Glory, the raspy voice, the Oh Yeah catchphrase and Miss Elizabeth as his manager. He became WWE champion. His 'marriage' to Miss Elizabeth on PPV was seen by millions. Then his marriage disintegrated, He fell out with WWE and moved over to the rival WCW.As this is produced by WWE. You get a sanitised product and you are always unsure what is the truth.Did Randy Savage really control Miss Elizabeth, where he watched over her at all times.Well their television marriage was fake as they married in the mid 1980s. By the time of their tv marriage, their relationship was rocky.A lot of this was not dealt with properly. Randy's brother Larry Poffo offered what might be the truth but again it is hard to tell.Wrestling fans would like this but it felt superficial.
