Plot summary

A middle-aged woman, traumatized from the death of her adulterous lover, moves into a room at a New Orleans boarding house where the blind landlord becomes suspicious to her activities of continuing her affair with her dead lover.

There actually isn't a great deal of the Macabre in this film. For the most part is sort of plods along in a barely coherent manner. The claims of authenticity fail to ring true, in the end it feels like Bava may have been out of his depth a bit with this one.

Completely boring and overlong one note necrophilia movie

Completely boring and overlong one note necrophilia movie. Has a quick opening but just meanders for 50 or so minutes doing absolutely nothing. Not worth the watch or the notoriety it has received.
