Plot summary

When successful dating app creator Alana hesitantly gets engaged, she returns to her hometown in Florida to deliver the news to her dad. Upon returning home, she crosses paths with her former flame, Kai, and finds herself falling in love with the fun and adventurous lifestyle tied to her community. As Alana and Kai work together to help her dad restore his declining property, Alana finds herself conflicted as to whether or not her current way of living makes her happier than the home and community that she always knew and loved.

Love in the Sun seems to have a

Love in the Sun seems to have a decent plot idea, but is put together like a high school interpretation of what a relationship should look like. The acting is one note and doesn't allow the audience to become one with any scene. The lead actress seems as if she's popping Prozac throughout this entire film, including when she is "about to get engaged" after the proposal. There is no meaningful connection with any character or relationships in this movie. The only thing that redeems Love in the Sun is the scenic shots in Florida. Makes you think this movie was a ploy for the crew to have a paid vacation. If you want to kill 82 minutes of time do yourself a favor and watch something else.

Not very good

I've seen many Hallmark movies and this ranks at the bottom. Why? The story was weak, the characters weaker and the chemistry was absent.
