Ah, the sweet sound of strumming guitars and an ethereal horse galloping across the screen, heralding you about to watch a movie from Maverick Entertainment.I have indeed watched the 2018 movie "Love & Drugs" and I was not impressed, nor particularly entertained by it. But since I had the chance to sit down and watch the 2020 sequel "Love & Drugs 2: The Sacrifice", I opted to do so. But truth be told, I didn't harbor any expectations to writer DeMarcus Bailey's movie. The storyline in the movie had the appeal of watching wet paint drying. So I wasn't the least bit impressed with the storyline that writer DeMarcus Bailey had pieced together.Of the entire cast ensemble in the movie, I only think I was familiar with Santosha Nicole. The acting performances in the movie were adequate. The production level in the movie was a step up from the usual amateurish and home-made-feel stuff that Maverick Entertainment have been spewing out by the dozen over the years.Well, the good news here was that "Love & Drugs 2: The Sacrifice" was about as interesting as its predecessor. So you're not in for anything grand or stellar. And this is definitely not a movie that I would recommend you to waste 113 minutes on watching. Nor is it a movie that will ever grace my screen a second time.My rating of directors DeMarcus Bailey and Vernon Snoop Robinson's 2020 movie "Love & Drugs 2: The Sacrifice" lands on a generous three out of ten stars.
