Hilarious and highly entertaining music doc on that

Hilarious and highly entertaining music doc on that surprisingly avoids most of the things that can usually make them a bore. Using brilliant animation and puppetry to illustrate many key scenes, The story explores one of the most unlikely musical alliances which led to a rapid and wild ride into indie glory and then an almost Shakespearean tragic fall. While viewers who don't already love Pavement may still wonder how these guys became one of the most influential indie rock bands of the 90's, there is no denying the frenetic power of their music and uncompromising devotion to keeping it real. It's a great ride for any rock music fan and a moving cautionary tale that you'll remember.

Loved it. A great rockumentary and wonderful tribute to the late Gary Young. A must-see for any Pavement fan. Plant Man is now re-engrained into my head. Thank you for making this.

Equally lovely and heartbreaking

It's difficult to imagine a musical landscape without the contributions of Pavement, but then it's easily as difficult to imagine if Pavement would have ever been Pavement without Gary Young. Look, if you don't know Pavement then I you did the 90s wrong. But that's ok, start now. And this rock doc gives you the straight dope for real, the good, the bad, and the ugly that some artists indelibly navigate from cradle to grave their wiggles, their warmth, and their demons. Addiction takes many forms, and the portrait woven here will pull you. Gary seemingly had a huge heart, wild talent, and full flame flew through his love and art. Indelibly indelible.
