Movie Reviews
A key intellectual period and circle laid bare
Emotional, unique and poignant
This incredbible drama-documentary hybrid is definitely one of the more unique and gracefully made films of the year. Being rather reminsicent of the equally great masterpiece Four Daughters from Iran, this is ever as incredible and masterful.
Marion Cotillard gives the performance of her career, as one would expect of course, and it is very much one of her more emotional and powerful performances. The script is wonderful, very real and utilizing the mix of genres splendidly.
The cinematography, cutting and editing is exceptional, again delving into a nice middle ground between reality and fiction. Also intersting for fans of the subject and actress.
Overall, a very intersting and well put together feature that is highly recommended for any lover of film indeed!
