Another poor attempt to try and retell a

Another poor attempt to try and retell a tired old story. The protagonist is unlikable and never once did I feel a bit of pity. The way the movie seems to glorify misey as the romantic part of coming of age is insipid. The teens are so sterotypical it is sad. The idiot, the thug, the sweet kid, the psycho girl and her best friend that doesn't give up on her. Please her friend would have left her about five minutes in for being such a bitch. Finally I love how at the end she forgives her for being horrible to her. No girl in real life would ever do thay. Are we supposed to applaud her foe the abuse she is willing to take. Finally I love how the ending has no consequences just two friends at the beach back to normal.

Little Birds is a coming of age story

Little Birds is a coming of age story, with Lily (filled with rebellion and angst), and Alison (the loveable, mousey tag along). The two are growing bored of their hometown, set in the Salton Sea, where they meet some audacious teenagers who invite them into their world. The story seems inadvertently familiar at first, then proves to be refreshingly unique once the adventure begins. There is unexpected suspense, with notable cinematography and music selection that pulls everything together.

This is your average indie film. It felt like I've seen it before and I was tired of it after 15 minutes.
