Plot summary

As a huge electrical storm sweeps towards Texas, lineman Beau Ginner is haunted by memories of his brother's death by lightning years earlier. Since that tragic day, he has raised his niece Bailey and risen to foreman of a lineman team. However, there is friction when Bailey's on-off boyfriend Duncan joins the crew, while another new recruit is hiding PTSD symptoms. Beau and his team are soon putting their lives at risk in a race to replace miles of power cables to keep the electrical grid running before the deadly lightning storm strikes. Based on a true story; this film is a tribute to the heroes who risk it all to keep us safe.

Scrolling through movies, this had popped up. I

Scrolling through movies, this had popped up. I figured since it was something different, why not watch it? John Travolta movie (he's been hit and miss the last 30 or so years). While this isn't a Spielberg, Cameron, or Bruckheimer movie, it wasn't something you could expect Oscars to be given for. I see reviews seemingly expecting that, or this to be a documentary. Yes, you can guess what is coming before it happens, but there is little left to surprise people with anymore with how movies are being pumped out. We get to see a little bit of what keeps the power on for us to pick this movie apart, though. Not a long, drawn out story that loses you (unless you have a short attention span). It isn't perfect, but far from the worst movie I've ever seen. 4/5

A good drama with a good story, great actors and a good dedication to the power line workers.

Not sure why this has the lowest review

Not sure why this has the lowest review numbers. It's a great movie. Acting was mostly good. The story was simple, but it really didn't need to be complicated to get the point made. Personally I felt it did a good job telling the importance of these people who risk their lives so everyone can have things just a bit easier.
