Plot summary

After returning to her hometown of Ornaments as a big city news reporter, she faces the demon of her past following a simple typo in her letter to Santa, a harmless mistake that summoned Satan to kill her parents.

This movie is a wickedly snarky & profane

...this movie is a wickedly snarky & profane 'Roast' of Every cliche in Every sappy, formulaic Hallmark Magical Holiday Romance movie ever made! A spoiled little girl's rash anger with her financially-struggling parents - combined with a misspelled salutation to Santa in her Xmas Wish Letter - results in a 'dismember-able' Christmas morning... Fast-Forward 22 years, to the still-spoiled/now hard-bitten TV reporter assigned to cover a 'Seasonal Interest' story back in the home town she'd put behind her. But her past Literally returns to haunt her... The cloven-footprints left in the indoor snow seem to hint at a sequel. Now we're scouring in 'net for a disc copy to own & to watch - MINUS commercial breaks - any time the Winter Holiday saccharin of Just ONE More faux-y-snowy, shallow-depth-of-focus ads. We HOPE the Producers & Marketing teams are Listening! Now I'm cutting-short my post on this Clunky site.

This movie is so much better than it

This movie is so much better than it deserves to be. It's a twisted parody of Hallmark Christmas movies and somehow, it works. As a child, Holly wrote a letter to Santa asking him to get rid of her parents because they wouldn't buy her a toy she wanted. Only she addressed it to Satan by mistake. Then her parents were murdered. Now an adult, Christmas-hating Holly returns to her home town where everyone -- and I do mean everyone -- takes the holidays very seriously. There're all cheerful and happy, much to Holly's chagrin. So she writes an angry letter to Satan because she hates it there. And Satan comes to town and starts killing people. Is it stupid? Yes. Is it also fun? Absolutely.

If I could give this movie zero stars

If I could give this movie zero stars I would. I knew it would be different based on the title and being on scify but my god is it bad.
